When it comes to permanent projection mapping installations it takes a special approach to the design and fabrication of the system.
The sun, rain, wind, temperature, and of course those pesky seagulls all arrange themselves in opposition to keeping projectors and critical electronics safe and dry.
Luckily we have years of experience and enjoy the challenge of designing projection mapping systems that shine on rain or shine for years.
Case in point is the projection mapping system for the Woodworth Apartments in Seattle, Washington.
If you have ever heard of the Pacific Northwest you know it rains. A lot.
It also snows, is hot in the summer, and has quite a few seagulls.
Part of the success we afford in these environments is selecting the right parts from the start. We work exclusively with NEMA 3 & 4 rated parts with absolutely everything featuring a UL or ETL listing.
After this part selection and integration it is time for testing.
As shown in the video above this means spraying water from every conceivable angle while also letting the machine run for at least 2 weeks to confirm absolute reliability of operation.
For installations in the absolute hottest and coldest environments we also offer an “Extreme Weather” package for outdoor permanent installations. Be sure to ask your sales associate for more information.
