MICROSOFT AT MOHAI
In the deep of winter Microsoft requested a large scale 3D projection mapping activation for their annual Cloud Conference.
An activation that would communicate the theme of their event and integrate visual metaphors of their services.

THE EXPERIENCE
MOHAI is a gem of the Seattle waterfront and is a prime destination for arts, entertainment and events.
As guests arrived there was a long path on the approach to the building. Even from a far distance these projections were clearly visible and helped set the tone for the tech friendly party inside.
Photogenic and 100% on brand along the walkway to the event as well as the main entrance itself. It was simply stunning and visible from 100’s of feet away.

THE SYSTEM
To reach this level we decided to project on the two most visible faces of MOHAI with over 60k lumens of light.
Each and every projector, computer, and cable was ready for weather and with that it did rain quite a bit. Of course this had no effect on our systems for they shone on brilliantly for hours as hundreds arrived for the event.
THE CONTENT
Clouds were an immediate winner for the visual language.
We sought time lapse footage of Mt. Rainier, the Space Needle, and then mixed this with 3D renderings of rain, snow, and 3D Microsoft product logos falling on the building.
It was original, well approved, and tied in with the exact architecture of the building.
The animations featured emblems of familiar products and typefaces colliding with clouds and the building in a way the symbolized the high tech capability of the projects the teams were working on.
